MEET YOUR THERAPIST…

Hello and welcome!  My name is Settie Phillips.  I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, EMDR trained, and a member in good standing of the American Counseling Association and Colorado Counseling Association.  I received my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.  My undergraduate degree in Sociology was also earned at UNC.  My areas of expertise/interest include personality disorders, abuse, divorce and custody, couples and families, complex trauma, and co-parenting.

I work very closely with social workers, attorneys, guardians ad litem, and other mental health professionals in various areas of my private practice. In addition to my private practice, I also work as a Child Family Investigator (CFI) appointed by the State of Colorado, and facilitate levels II and III co-parenting classes. Perhaps my most rewarding volunteer effort at this time is serving as both the facilitator and mental health professional for the C-FIT class which is required by the 4th Judicial District for anyone going through child-related litigation in family court.

Because I am a firm believer in community, connection, and the idea that we can do better, I have spend time in every courtroom in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District observing the process and familiarizing myself with the style of the many judges, attorneys, child and family investigators, and other professionals who regularly participate in family court cases.

I believe that mental health is a crucial component in the overall health and well-being of our own lives as well as our communities and society as a whole, and I am so grateful to be able to share my passion with you.
